Cake Care Guide

MOVING, STORING & ENJOYING YOUR CAKE

KEEP LEVEL

Keep your cake or cupcakes level when carrying to the car. Hold the cake box at the bottom (not the sides) to avoid damaging the cake.

IN THE FOOTWELL

To keep them level, the safest place for your cake or cupcakes is in the passenger footwell of the car (not on the car seat or on a person’s knee).

YOUR COOL CAR

Have the air conditioning on in your car to keep the car cool, especially if transporting a buttercream cake.

DRIVE CAREFULLY

Drive slowly and carefully, particularly around corners, over speed bumps and when turning.

CHILL IN THE SHADE

If your cake is buttercream, once home store in the fridge. Remove 1 to 2 hours before cutting. If left out too long, the cake will melt. Sugarpaste cakes and cupcakes should be left out of the fridge. Display your cake or cupcakes away from heat and direct sunlight.

EAT WITHIN 2 DAYS

Once your cake is cut, any leftovers can be stored in the fridge and best consumed within 2 days and at room temperature.
